You can perform most PGP functions from the Finder or from within most applications by choosing options from PGPmenu, which appears as an icon in the menu bar of the Finder and any other applications you have selected. This feature provides immediate access to the PGP functions regardless of which application you are using and is especially useful if you are using an email application that is not supported by the PGP plug-ins. While using email or other text-based applications to which you have added PGPmenu, you can encrypt and sign and decrypt and verify text by choosing options from PGPmenu. While in the Finder, you can encrypt, sign, decrypt, verify, and wipe files. (If you cannot find PGPmenu in one of your applications, you need to add the application to the PGPmenu pane of the Preferences dialog box in the PGPkeys or PGPtools application.).
